I want a knot

I really wish it was easier to make friends in the fandom. I have struck up plenty of conversations with furries on FA and steam, but the friendships never stick for some reason. I only have two furry friends, and I met them both many many years ago. It just sucks that most of the time when I add furries on skype they only want to yiff or RP. I want REAL friends!

I get seriously freaked out when furries try to add my Facebook. And they get offended when I state that its a personal Facebook account.

It feels invasive and pushing after a while. I mean…please, I’m a furry but that doesn’t mean I will add you to my PERSONAL FACEBOOK ACCOUNT, where I post PERSONAL STUFF.

I had been thinking of having another Facebook account for everyone to add and to stop sending me friend requests for me to reject and later on read them getting mad at me via private messages or in public.

And when I say “please, this is my private facebook. I really don’t want to add everyone just because they are furry”, they get mad or say “OH EXCUSE ME PRINCESS”. Srsly…let me decide if I want to keep in touch with you in the first place.

The whole fandom feels most of the time like people trying to push themselves into other people shouting “HEY I’M A FURRY WANNA BE FRIENDS? LETS BE FRIENDS”. No. Please, as someone that suffers from some social anxiety, I would prefer to decide if I want you around or not. Let me take my time, don’t make me feel that if I don’t accept your fucking friend request I’m the most shittiest horrible person in the whole world.

I have been a furry for years, and I found out recently that my kid brother is also a furry. He is nine years younger than me and we have never been very close. I really hope this gives us something to bond over.

I scheduled that question for Monday, what the heck.

Do you have a furry friend close by where you live?

I was once laughed at for the amount I charged for art. A lot of popular artists can charge a good price and even over, while the majority of us have to deal with below minimum pay per hour for our art. And it’s the only way to make any money without being a popufur God. I find it a little sad that a lot people are more interested in the big name rather than the amount of time and work that goes into art.
