I absolutely love SparkyCanDo’s fursuits, I think her work is amazing.
But I can’t support it after all the drama she stirred up with her FA journal about their anti-abortion views. She said some truly horrible things about the rights of rape victims and other such things that I can’t support, even if her craftsmanship is really good.

Anonymous asked: I'm pretty sure the ears are backwards but I think they did it on purpose. It fits the attitude of the character so far as I can tell from the art Lucky did of her, so. Personally I think its cute! It's always nice to see something different on a suit, and I'm glad people are branching out with ear positions more.
Oh! Well either way, it’s a really nice suit.

asked: Let me re-iterate my last response. about yiff,r34 or "NSFWFUR" I have No problem if people like it. I guess why I consider it bad and let me say, I only say bad because there is not another humanly word for this. But yes bad . I find it this way because I am a person who actively avoids such things. And it seems that most of all I see is nsfw and not sfw. So it becomes a annoying. Even the sfwfur tag you will find a lot to be undesired. but again many other fandoms have these problems.
Well, there’s not much I can do for you, other than give you some links.
If you like, here are some clean blogs:
FurAffinity also has a “SFW” button on the site, so you can browse (hopefully) without seeing explicit images. If you do some digging around the internet, I’m sure you’ll find more sites you’ll like! :)

asked: I used the term scritch to describe the act of giving affection of the scratching kind ever since I was a wee babe in the fandom, And Ive passed that along to various friends/my current SO (who is not a furry) I always related it to the sound of scratching??? And never really realized it was a term popularly coined by the fur community
Another good explanation :)

Anonymous asked: What even is scritching? I've only heard it once in my 6 years of being in the fandom and it was from a video giving furries a bad rep ( more than we already have) last month :I
From my understanding it’s like gently scratching. Kinda like how you might “scritch” behind a cat or dogs ears, I guess? That’s the best example I have.
Some people use it as a greeting, to show familiarity, or just as a friendly gesture.

asked: What's you opinion about all the bad publicity that furries get? I've been a furry sense I was 12 and well unfortunately I saw the bad before the good. Thankfully a few years later, I found the good and loving side. But to be honest even now I see way more bad than good. (My Definition of bad in this situation is, Suggestive and pornographic art as well as some members just being assholes to one another.) Maybe I am a minority or maybe I am not? Maybe it is what I have been programed to believe.
Since you were 12? I liked furries way before that point in my life, but I didn’t even know there was a word for it until I was 13. So I guess “publicity” of the fandom never started effecting me until I saw people being harassed because they liked talking animals.
My opinion: Well, for starters, there’s nothing bad about the sexual side of the fandom as long as no one or nothing is getting harmed. Most bad publicity about the fandom comes from people who believe that that’s the case. Unless they think were idiots because of outspoken jerks in the fandom, they think we’re all sexually depraved perverts. And, I don’t believe that’s the case!
The loving and accepting members of the fandom seem to be overshadowed by the ignorant or just plain obnoxious members. Ya know, people who try to make cynicism and ostracizing people look cool, or just plain seem not to know better?
I know a lot of people who have found happiness in the fandom by making friends who understand them and can share their ideas with, and that’s a wonderful thing.

Anonymous asked: do people actually scritch? i always thought that was more of a joke term than anything...?
It depends, I guess! When I’m with other friends who are in the fandom, we scritch each others shoulder/belly/whatever or something as a “Hey, you’re awesome” kinda thing. Some people just like how it feels or it makes them comfortable.
Some people use it as a joke, though.
